A Very Happy Christmas
Posted on Tuesday, December 22, 2020As we close the school for two weeks, I hope everyone has a lovely break and much needed rest. We packed a lot into the past day and a half. I want to thank all who supported our Santa Dash yesterday and of course the wonderful pupils who trained hard since Halloween. Fr McInerney surprised us today with sponsorship of the Santa suits and medals so we have raised almost €1000 which will be split between Eyrecourt NS and Holy Union Sisters Tanzania. We also raised €120 for the Simon community today wearing our Christmas jumpers.
Check out our Google Classrooms over the holidays to see our Christmas fun and preparations. (5eezo54=Senior classroom, hadvhzm=Middle classroom, pfaziuu=Junior classroom) I will also share Ms McGraths nativity across the other two classrooms because everyone should see it!
It is a tough day today listening to the news but please God we will return to school on the 6th of January, continuing to observe all protocols. Avoid listening to any media speculation about schools and only take the direction of an Taoiseach. On return in January, continue to be vigilant regarding coughs and colds. Follow HSE advice and keep your child at home if they have any symptoms. I am thrilled with how this term went and it was only possible by everyone working together.
Nollaig Shona agus Athbhliain faoi Shéan agus faoi Shíocháin daoibh.
