School Appointments

Since the retirement of Mrs Barrett, the post of Deputy Principal has been vacant. We also had an Assistant Principal II post which was vacant since the lifting of the moratorium on posts in 2017. This post had previously been held by Ms Lahart before her retirement.
Interviews were held yesterday and we are pleased to announce that Ms Aisling McGettigan is the new Deputy Principal of our school. As Deputy Principal she will deputise for me if I am absent but along with that there are many duties with the role including health and safety, overseeing Maths and English, overseeing SSE and the school code of behaviour.
Ms Amber McGrath has been appointed to the Assistant Principal II post. This managerial post has many duties also including overseeing PE, Art and music, First Aid, Wellbeing and managing the school ipads.
This is a fitting end to a very productive first term with our new staff. I am delighted to have an inschool management team and I know that our collaboration and hard work will benefit our pupils hugely.
