Eyrecourt Examiner for Everyone
Posted on Friday, April 24, 2020Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for all your support and engagement over the past week. We had a "virtual" staff meeting this afternoon and your support for your children at home was praised by all teachers. As always we are here for you and we are all contactable by email for any queries or issues.
As I have said before, we will catch up on return to school. Your child will learn so much from you at home that could never be taught at school. Keep up a few basic maths, reading activities, you're getting plenty of direction from teachers, but do what works for you best.
Today, the first of the digital Eyrecourt Examiners is published. Feel free to share with anyone in the community. As you may be aware, the senior classroom produce and sell a monthly newspaper. As we now have no access to the printer and the restrictions of social distancing, we decided to go digital.
We have many elderly readers and decided to go digital to connect the community and help the cocooned feel less isolated.
This week the senior classroom talk about life since the school closed. In the next issues, we will have more news, recipes and informative articles. We hope to publish each Friday while we are at home. While some students might have missed this weeks deadline, no doubt their article wil be in next week.
From next week, children from the other classes can contribute. Send your photo, caption or article to [email protected] by Thursday afternoon for inclusion.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend,
Éilis Treacy
